Mitsubishi Evo Rom Download
CeddyMods,
Is mybundle of code add-ons for the Flashable DSM ecus.
If the ROM image does open, you are all done and are ready to start tuning. If you don’t know what you are doing, you should mess with anything at all. This is what the Ceddy Mods ROM will look like in ECUflash. This is what the Tephra Mods ROM will look like in ECUflash.
It adds features that are not present in the stock ecu like a StutterBox, NLTS, CEL on Knock, etc.

With properly setup definitions, the ROM from any vehicle can be edited. Future plans for EcuFlash include logging support / overlay, and live tuning. Download EcuFlash 1.44.4799 for. Download ALL ECU ROMs and XML Definitions Last Updated Wednesday, 27 January 2016 0006 is a 2005 EDM Evo ROM, commonly used to replace the 96940011 USDM ROM, and has been successfully used to replace many other Evo VIII ROMs as well. 96940011 (and other) Replacement Notes.
If you have ever flashed an Evo and used TephraMods, you will find my Mods very similar.
I have tried to use the same units as the Evo coders, when possible, so loggers and other tools will be compatible.
An extra step I have taken is try to make everything more universal and compact.
Trying to get all the definitions and patches together for Evo can be a hassle because they have multiple roms and patches and definitions for each rom.
I have tried to remedy this by having one universal rom for the DSMs (20550011), and one definition with everything in it. And one group of Mods with all the patches in it.
This allows you to download one .ZIP file, and have everything you need.

Note – Windows 7 and Vista have a feature called UAC. It makes a duplicate copy of your program files.
This means when you try to install the EvoScan and EcuFlash .xmls, the changes won’t take effect, instead the duplicate .xml will be used
To remedy this don’t install EvoScan and EcuFlash to C:Program Files, instead install to another directory created by you.
For example install to, C:ProgramsXP.
New features:
User Levels in EcuFlash are now taken advantage of.
This allows someone just starting out to set the level to Beginner and only the few necessary maps are displayed.
This reduces confusion from seeing 100+ maps for the first time, when you are going to use less then ten of them.
Displayed maps per User Level are as follows:

Features
Launch Control
- Normal Rev Limit
- Stationary Rev Limit
- Rev Limit Switch Speed
- AntiLag
- Ignition Retard
- AFR Control
- No Lift To Shift
Launch Control has four levels of functionality.
With all options enabled it has the following logic:
(Numbers in parenthesis are example setting.)
Below the Rev Limit Switch Speed (7 mph), the Rev Limit is set to the Stationary Rev Limit (4500 rpms).
Once AntiLag Start RPM (4000 rpms) is exceeded, Ignition Retard sets timing (-15*), and AFR Control adjusts fuel (9:1).
Above the Rev Limit Switch Speed (7 mph),the Rev Limit is set to the Normal Rev Limit (7500 rpms).
If the Clutch Switch is depressed, the Rev Limit is set to NLTS RPM (5500 rpms).
Launch Control has a top down enable hierarchy.
Htc Evo 4g Rom
To use Ignition Retard, Launch Control must be enabled.
To use AFR Control, Ignition Retard must be enabled.
To use NLTS, Launch Control must be enabled.
To use NLTS, the Clutch Switch must be wired to ecu pin 91.
.
Map Select
The H8 DSMs have two sets of many of the maps. This is normally used for Automatics.
In Park and Neutral the first set of maps is used. In Drive, 1st, 2nd, and Reverse the second set of maps is used.
Map select allows you to lock a set of maps to always use.
This allows you to have a set of maps for normal gas and a set for race gas and easily switch between them.
.
CEL on Knock
CEL on Knock will light the CEL once a certain knock count is exceeded.
If the CEL is already lit from an OBD code it will turn the CEL off.
This gives you a quick indication when you are knocking.
.
Base Timing Terminal
Base Timing Terminal adds the Base Timing Function like the 1Gs and 95-96s have.
If not present, you must add a wire to ecu pin 52.
When grounded, timing will be locked to 5* so you can properly align a 1G Adjustable CAS.
.
One Byte Load
The normal loggable Load maxes out at 160.
One Byte Load raises this max to 320 while still having the speed of a one byte request.
Future versions will have a adjustable multiplier.
.
AirFlow Calculations
AirFlow Calculations add the ability to log air flow in lb/min or g/sec.
.
Speed Density Calculations
Speed Density Calculations enable Volumetric Efficiency calculations, to help set your VE Tables while using your MAF.
See Speed Density for more info.
This is a short tutorial on how to install ECUflash. ECUflash is a free program that allows you to tune using either a 2G Blackbox ECU or an Evo 8 ECU. A proper install is crucial as you will have problems reading or writing ROM’s if not installed correctly.
Words By AJ Hunsinger // Images By AJ Hunsinger
First, you need to download the latest version of ECUflash, found HERE. Once it is downloaded, open it up to begin the install wizard.
Go through and click all of the recommended buttons and directories. The 1.3u and 2.0 Tactrix cable drivers are included in the ECUflash download and will be installed with ECUflash.
Before you can open a ROM image, you must first add the correct .XML files into the proper ECUflash folder.
If you are using a 2G Blackbox, you need to put the Ceddy Mods 20550011.XML file inside the C:Drive/ProgramFiles/OpenECU/ECUflash/rommetadata/mitsubishi/eclipse folder. Download HERE.
If you are using an Evo ECU, you need to add all the Tephra Mod .XML files into the C:Drive/ProgramFiles/OpenECU/ECUflash/rommetadata/mitsubishi/evo folder. Download HERE.
Once the .XML files are in place, open up ECUflash.
Next, you will need to change the User Level in order to fully access your ROM. First, click file, then click options.
Then click User Level. By default, it should be set to Beginner. You want to change this to Developer.
Now, you are ready to open your ROM. If you are using a Blackbox ECU, open one of the Ceddy Mods .HEX files that came with your Ceddy Mods downloads. If you are using a MAF, select the 20550011-mod-1v9Cb-MAF-BigMaps.hex file. If you are using Speed Density, select the 20550011-mod-1v9Cb-SD-BigMaps.hex file.
If you are using an Evo ECU, open one of the Tephra Mods .BIN files. To figure out which Tephra ROM you need to use, see THIS article.

If you try to open a ROM image and get an error message, the .XML files either weren’t put it the correct folder or weren’t added at all. If the ROM image does open, you are all done and are ready to start tuning. If you don’t know what you are doing, you should mess with anything at all.
This is what the Ceddy Mods ROM will look like in ECUflash.

Now, lets say you knew what you were doing and wanted to flash your ROM image to your ECU. There is a few things you need to pay attention to.
- Read button
- Write button
- Test write button
- Interface connection, ECU type
Mitsubishi Evo 10
When the connection between the laptop and ECU, and ECU and cable are correct and plugged in, these 3 icons at the top will light up. When not connected, the icons will be greyed out like shown above as well as the ‘No Vehicle Interface” text on the bottom right of the screen.

There is a variety of wiring involved in using either the 2G blackbox ECU or the Evo ECU, both of which I will not discuss in this article. The 2G Blackbox ECU uses the 2.0 Tactrix cable while the Evo ECU uses the 1.3U cable.
